In order to complete this London colour restoration the technician initially must clean the sofa. Different sofas are cleaned in different ways for example an aniline leather chair would be cleaned with leather cleaner and a lint free cloth. However this type of chair would be cleaned with a scrubbing brush. Once scrubbed the dirt is wiped away with a lint free cloth. This particular chair is cleaned using the scrubbing brush following the guidelines mentioned above.
Before

After

After the London stressless chair has been cleaned the technician begins to prep the chair. This is done using leather prep and a lint free cloth. This removes the manufacturers coating from the chair. Similarly it removes all of the dirt and debris from the chair. Next the technician matches the colour of the chair.
Once the technician matches the colour they apply a base coat using a lint free cloth to rub the colour over the leather in small circular motions.
Once a base coat is applied they will use an air brush to spray the chair. They apply thin evenly spread layers of colour. After the dye has been applied the technician will dry the chair using a hairdryer.
Now the technician can apply the final layer of lacquer.
After Completion
Lastly the technician applies the lacquer. This is used to seal the repair. All of our products are water based except for the lacquer. Therefore the chair needs to be left in order for all of the products to have enough time to cure.
Now that the London stressless chair restoration is completed the chair needs to be left for a couple of hours in order to dry. Then it is touch dry should the customer wish to touch it. Although this is not recommended. The area should be left for 48 hours as a minimum until it is used but this depends on how much colour is applied.
